Stonebroke’s Sir Charles” is available at stud to approved bitches. Bitches must be CERF certified and OFA or Pennhip Certified (Preliminary OFA evaluations will be accepted). A current brucellosis test is also required. Stud fee is $500. If the breeding produces 3 or fewer pups, the fee is $75 for each pup born. Payment is due after the mating takes place. The bitch owner is responsible for transporting the bitch to and from our kennel. If the breeding should be a “no take” (if the bitch produces no pups), the stud fee will be refunded no later than 30 days after the date the bitch would have been due to whelp. We suggest that if you make a reservation to have your dog bred by Charlie that you have a backup stud to use. We have been receiving several inquiries in regards to stud services and although it is highly unlikely that two dogs will need to be bred at exactly the same time, it could happen. It is somewhat difficult to know exactly when a dog will come into heat as heat cycles vary of course, so consequently it is difficult to be 100% sure if Charlie will be available. We will accept bookings for him on a first come, first served basis. If you schedule a stud service and there is a conflict with someone who has booked earlier than you, we will notify you ASAP so you can make arrangements with another stud dog owner. Again, odds of this happening are slim but we need to have a policy in place in the unlikely case that this should occur.
